Generative AI in Higher Education Teaching – Part 2 (Workshop in English language)
In the second part of the workshop series, you will deepen your knowledge of prompt engineering, learn the technique of megaprompting, and test various AI-supported tools for researching and organizing literature, in order to then evaluate which of these techniques and tools could be helpful for you and your teaching. Our goal is to develop a basic understanding of the possibilities and limitations of AI in higher education. We encourage you to critically question your own assumptions and ideas: What is artificial intelligence and how do current and future AI systems influence higher education? Based on your experiences with text-generating AI systems and the reflection of competencies, you will identify potential applications for teaching and develop initial concepts for your teaching practice.
- Reflection on the use of AI in teaching and learning
- Exploration of various AI tools and their counterparts
- AI application in planning higher education courses with respect to subject-specific competencies
After attending the workshop, participants are able to:
- Reflect on the nature and extent of AI use in teaching and plan their teaching accordingly
- Evaluate various AI tools in terms of their usability and non-AI counterparts
- Discover methods of utilizing generative AI to their course planning
